Step one: read essential storage — always active. Step two: read functional maps — optional. Step three: read analytics — off by default. Step four: use Accept, Reject or Customise on the banner, or Cookie settings in the footer later.

Cookie name sg_feed_consent stores your choices as JSON with version field v=1. Essential consent is always true; functional and analytics categories are optional and default to off until you enable them.

Essential storage remembers consent decisions and prevents the banner from reappearing on every page load without cause. Duration: six months from last save. Essential storage cannot be disabled while using the site because the banner requires state.

Functional category enables Google Maps iframes on reach.php and footer map sections on other pages when you choose Accept all or turn Functional on in Customise. Maps may set their own cookies governed by Google's published policy.

Analytics category remains off unless you explicitly enable it in Customise. We do not operate third-party advertising cookies on this domain and do not sell cookie data to brokers.

Local storage key sg_feed_consent_v1 mirrors cookie data when browsers block cookies — same JSON fields, same retention intent, same version number for compatibility with main.js preference logic.

Accept all: enables functional maps, keeps analytics off unless you previously enabled analytics separately. Reject all: disables functional maps — placeholders appear instead of iframes until you change preferences.

Customise: toggle Functional and Analytics independently, then Save preferences. Footer link Cookie settings reopens the banner and panel without clearing other essential state.

Manage later via Cookie settings in the footer on any page — useful if you accepted maps on first visit and later prefer placeholders for privacy.

Browser controls: you may delete cookies in browser settings at any time. Deleting sg_feed_consent resets preferences and shows the banner again on next visit.

Do Not Track: we do not respond to DNT signals with a separate mechanism; use Customise or Reject all to disable non-essential categories explicitly.

Session versus persistent: sg_feed_consent is persistent for six months; no separate session cookie is required for editorial page views beyond essential consent storage.

Third-party embeds: only Google Maps loads when functional consent is granted. No social widgets, video players or comment embeds load on this site.

Children: cookie banner language is plain English for general audiences. Parents should supervise browser choices for minors using shared devices.

Updates: changes appear here with revised dateModified in JSON-LD. When cookie categories or storage duration change materially, the cookies page date advances and the homepage mono strip carries a single-line pointer for seven days. Review this page after updates if you previously saved preferences.

Technical detail: main.js reads sg_feed_consent on load and sets data-consent-* attributes on the document element for CSS hooks. Map iframes load only when functional consent is true after Save or Accept all.

Reject all behaviour: map sections show static placeholders with link to reach.php until you change preferences. Essential consent storage still records your rejection so the banner does not loop endlessly.

Cross-page consistency: cookie choices apply site-wide on wirecraftpro.life. Subdomains are not used for editorial content; one consent cookie covers all listed pages in sitemap.xml.

Incognito windows: closing the session may clear cookies depending on browser settings — expect the banner again on next private session. Local storage mirror may persist until cleared manually.

Policy alignment: this cookie notice works alongside privacy.php for personal data questions and terms.php for site use. Conflicts are resolved in favour of more specific cookie language on this page for storage categories.

Testing: editors test banner behaviour in major browsers quarterly after main.js changes. Report regressions to [email protected] with steps to reproduce and expected versus actual map load behaviour.

Embedded content: no other third-party embeds load cookies beyond Maps when functional consent is true. Static images and fonts load from configured hosts without additional consent categories on this site.

Consent withdrawal: disable functional in Cookie settings to stop Maps cookies on subsequent page loads. Previously set Google cookies may persist until you clear them in browser settings — we cannot delete third-party cookies on your device remotely.

Accessibility: banner buttons are keyboard reachable; toggles expose aria-pressed state in main.js. If you cannot use the banner, mail [email protected] with your preferred choices and we note them for manual handling where feasible.

SameSite attributes on essential cookies follow hosting defaults compatible with modern browsers. Cross-site embedding of wirecraftpro.life pages is discouraged — consent state is site-specific.

Logging: main.js does not send cookie choices to third-party analytics because analytics is off by default. Functional map loads are initiated client-side only after consent is read from storage.

Updates to main.js that change consent behaviour will be noted here and in privacy.php when storage categories or retention periods shift materially for site visitors.

Placeholder map panels display static text directing you to reach.php or Cookie settings — they carry no third-party cookies until you consent to functional category loading.

Essential cookie JSON includes version v=1 so future banner upgrades can migrate preferences without silent reset.
